The silver BERLIN on black leather is the most conventional watch in this line, and conventional is not a criticism when the drawing is this clean.

Sternglas began in Hamburg in 2016 with a preference for reduction over decoration. The BERLIN is where that preference meets a piece of railway history: the 1846 Hamburg to Berlin line, recorded on the caseback as an engraving of the Berliner Bahnhof.

A Miyota GM02 quartz movement supplies the date and the day of the week, with day names in English or German and a battery good for around three years. The silver dial and silver-tone hands are held in a 38 mm stainless steel case with 20 mm lugs, under double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating, rated to 5 bar. Heritage leather in black, 4 mm thick with an alligator emboss, fastens it and lifts off without tools.
