BERLIN sepia gold / Heritage 20 dark brown
Of all the BERLIN dials, sepia gold is the one that sells best. The dark brown strap is a large part of why it looks so settled.
The line commemorates the rail link opened between Hamburg and Berlin in 1846; the caseback carries an engraving of Hamburg's Berliner Bahnhof, in service from 1857 to 1903. Above it, a dial built to the Bauhaus values Sternglas has worked to since 2016 — legibility, geometry, sans-serif type.
The BERLIN's distinguishing feature is its Miyota GM02 quartz movement, which adds a day-of-week indicator to the date and can be set to English or German, with a battery life of roughly three years. The sepia dial and gold hands sit in a 38 mm gold-tone stainless steel case, 45 mm lug to lug, under double-domed sapphire with double anti-reflective coating and 5 bar of water resistance. Dark brown alligator-embossed Heritage leather, 4 mm thick, finishes it.
It is the least demanding watch in the line: warm, readable, and happy with almost anything you put it next to.
Perfect for: popular German design watches, brown leather day-date watches, warm dial 38 mm watches.
