BERLIN Automatic copper-beige silver / Milanaise 20 silver
Milanese mesh softens everything it touches. On the BERLIN Automatik it turns a warm copper-beige dial into something closer to jewelry than instrument, without losing a single degree of legibility.
The BERLIN is Sternglas's railway watch. It takes its story from the 1846 line that connected Hamburg to Berlin, and the caseback engraving reproduces the Berliner Bahnhof, the Hamburg station that handled the route until 1903. Everything above that caseback follows the Hamburg brand's reduced, Bauhaus-inspired grammar.
The copper-beige dial is fitted in a 38 mm stainless steel case with an automatic movement and a date display, protected by double-domed sapphire coated against reflections on both surfaces and rated to 5 bar. Instead of leather it wears the Milanaise bracelet in silver: 316L woven Milanese mesh, 2.5 mm thick and 20 mm at the lugs, closed by a slider clasp that adjusts to any wrist without tools or removed links.
Mesh drapes rather than sits, so this version disappears on the wrist faster than the leather ones do.
Perfect for: Milanese mesh bracelet watches, adjustable-fit automatics, warm dial watches for daily wear.
