Bell Hora – medium blue/gold
Gold detailing on a medium blue dial, and a small hammer that goes to work every sixty minutes whether anyone is listening or not.
This is MeisterSinger's Bell Hora, the watch that brought back the sonnerie au passage. The strike is passive and automatic: energy accumulates through the hour via a module coupled to the minute wheel, then discharges at the top of the hour against a sound fork behind the dial. One strike, every hour, never a count of the hours. The pusher at 2 o'clock is a silencer, not a trigger, and a black ring on its shaft shows when quiet mode is engaged.
The medium blue and gold execution is the most decorative of the three, its warm accents lifting the numerals off a cool blue ground. The case is 43 mm stainless steel, 13 mm tall, on a brown leather strap with 20 mm lugs, with a single needle hand and no date. The calibre is the MS Bell, a Sellita SW200 base carrying MeisterSinger's own modifications and striking module, 38 hours, rated to 5 bar.
A Red Dot Design Award winner from 2021, and the version to choose if you want the complication to look as ceremonial as it sounds.
Perfect for: blue and gold dial watches, collectors of chiming complications, distinctive anniversary gifts.
