Bell Hora – ivory
The pusher at 2 o'clock does not ring the bell. It stops it. That inversion tells you most of what you need to know about the Bell Hora.
MeisterSinger's striking watch performs a sonnerie au passage, a passing strike rather than an on-demand chime. The module gathers energy across the hour and lets it go at the top of the hour in one measured blow against a sound fork mounted behind the dial. It always chimes just once, whatever the hour, so there is no counting and no waiting. Push the pusher in and the watch speaks hourly; pull it out and a black ring on the shaft confirms it has been silenced.
The ivory dial gives the model its warmest, most traditional face, set in a 43 mm stainless steel case 13 mm tall and worn on a brown leather strap with 20 mm lugs. Time is shown by a single needle hand reading almost to the minute across a five-minute scale. The calibre is the MS Bell, built on a Sellita SW200 with an integrated striking module, running 38 hours, with 5 bar water resistance.
Quiet in the pocket, audible on the hour, and unmistakably deliberate about both.
Perfect for: cream dial watch buyers, mechanical striking watch enthusiasts, classic 43 mm dress-sport watches.
