Archao DLC – dark blue
A dark blue dial, a black case, a cognac strap. This is the warmest configuration of an otherwise cold-blooded model.
MeisterSinger built the Archao as its night watch. The name comes from the Greek archaios, primal or original, and the design trades the brand's gentler typography for something more emphatic: a finely grained dial, oversized half-hour and quarter-hour markers in crisp white, and a five-minute track deliberately faded to light gray. Numerals, markers and hand are LumiBlocks, solid luminous blocks applied to the dial that store light like a battery and hold it well into the night.
The 43 mm case is stainless steel with a matte black diamond-like carbon coating, the dial is dark blue, and the strap is cognac leather on 20 mm lugs. The Archao's divided hand is hollowed from within and interrupted at the center, so tip and rear overhang read as two separate shapes crossing the dial. Inside is a Sellita SW200 automatic modified for the single hand, 38 hours of reserve, 5 bar. The exhibition caseback is printed with the model name in transparent script over a volcanic ground.
Blue and brown is the oldest safe pairing in watches; the blacked-out case keeps it from looking conservative.
Perfect for: blue dial sports watch buyers, cognac leather strap pairings, MeisterSinger Archao collectors.
