29er Chronograph — Black Dial / Steel Bracelet
Black dial, steel bracelet, 200 grams. This is the 29er Chronograph in its least negotiable form, and the configuration most likely to be worn every day until the bracelet takes on a patina.
Mühle-Glashütte named the 29er range after the 29er sailing dinghy, the youth class that leads crews to the Olympic 49er, and introduced it in 2006 as its point of entry to Glashütte watchmaking. The chronograph tops the family with the MU 9413, Mühle's own caliber, built on a Swiss base and reworked, finished and regulated in Glashütte. It runs 62 hours and shows its Glashütte three-quarter plate through the sapphire back.
The dial is black with applied indices and Super-LumiNova, small seconds, and the date at four o'clock, ringed by an inner flange scale marked to one eighth of a second. The steel case measures 42.4 mm wide by 14.2 mm high, 49 mm lug to lug, on a brushed stainless bracelet with a folding clasp. Anti-reflective sapphire, screw-down crown, 10 bar.
Substantial without being loud. If you want one mechanical chronograph that never needs a strap change, this is the version.
Perfect for: steel bracelet daily chronographs, black dial sports watch buyers, German watchmaking gifts.
