29er Big — South Sea Blue Dial / Stone Gray Canvas
Grey canvas cools a deep blue dial and lets the petrol rehaut do the talking. The 29er Big keeps its contrasting flange as a signature, and on this reference it is a darker blue-green ring around a South Sea blue face. Mühle-Glashütte has used that device across the line for years.
The name belongs to sailing. A 29er dinghy is the youth boat that prepares crews for the Olympic 49er, and Mühle built the watch in 2006 to serve the same purpose in Glashütte watchmaking. The Big carries the design at 42.4 mm.
Stainless steel case, 11.3 mm deep, 49 mm lug to lug, screw-down crown, anti-reflective sapphire and an exhibition back. Applied indices with Super-LumiNova, luminous hands, date at 3 o'clock. Stone grey canvas strap, 22 mm, steel pin buckle. The automatic SW 200-1, Version Mühle runs 41 hours, and Mühle replaces the base caliber's regulator with its own patented woodpecker neck system so the rate survives the shocks the watch will actually meet.
Deep color, cool strap, and 10 bar of water resistance behind it.
Perfect for: deep blue dial watches, grey and blue color pairings, sporty everyday automatics.
