29er — White Dial / Dark Brown Tiber Leather
Warm brown leather changes what a white dial does. Against dark brown, the 29er's face reads softer and less clinical, closer to a vintage instrument than a modern sports watch, and Mühle-Glashütte offers it as one of four strap choices on this reference.
The 29er line has been the family firm's way into Glashütte watchmaking since 2006, named for the sailing dinghy that carries young crews toward the Olympic 49er. Maritime thinking shows up everywhere in the design brief: high legibility, applied markers, Super-LumiNova on the hands, and no rotating bezel to complicate the face.
The dark brown Tiber strap runs 18 mm at the lugs to a steel pin buckle. The case is stainless steel, 36.6 mm wide, 10.4 mm tall, 42.6 mm across the lugs, capped with anti-reflective sapphire. Its automatic SW 200-1, Version Mühle carries the patented woodpecker neck regulator: a development of the Glashütte swan neck whose specially shaped spring pins the regulator arm so a knock cannot shift the rate. 41 hours, stop-seconds, date at 3 o'clock, 10 bar.
Dressed down by the leather and kept honest by the proportions, it suits a wrist that prefers not to be shouted at.
Perfect for: brown leather watch straps, vintage-leaning white dials, everyday automatics for smaller wrists.
